How does Almost find our moments?
Each of you lets Almost read when and where your photos and videos were taken, before the day you met. Almost then looks for a photo of yours and a photo of theirs taken within 200 metres and an hour of each other. Nearby photos from the same outing count as one moment, keeping the closest.
We didn’t find any moments
- Check the date you met. Only photos from before it count. You can change it in Settings.
- Photos need a location. On iPhone that means Location Services was on for the Camera.
- If you chose to share only some photos with Almost, it can only look at those.
- It’s also simply common, especially if you lived in different places before you met.
My partner opened the link but nothing happened
- They need Almost installed first. Then they tap the link again, or paste it on the first screen.
- Both phones need to be signed in to iCloud, which carries the encrypted hand-off.
- Open Almost on your phone: it checks for your partner’s half whenever it opens.
- Links expire after seven days. You can make a new one from the invite screen.
The times look wrong
Times are shown in the local time of the place, once Almost has looked up where it was. Until then they use your phone’s time zone.
Deleting everything
In Almost, open Settings and choose Delete all data. It removes everything on your phone and anything of yours still waiting in iCloud. More in the Privacy Policy.
